A student who has stopped-out/discontinued their studies at MSU for more than a year and has returned to the University
What We Do:
The Returning Roadrunners program supports students as they re-engage at MSU Denver by:
Providing holistic support services to help students build a strong foundation for success in their educational, career, and life endeavors
Specifically, Re-Engagement Navigators provide support in the following areas:
- Onboarding
- Enrollment
- Advising & Registration Support
- Campus Resources
- Career Readiness
- Retention and Completion
- Building Community
This is accomplished through intentional outreach, communication, programming, and one-on-one student meetings.

The deadline for the waiver varies based on your starting semester. Please check the Health Center at Auraria website for more information. If you are an undocumented, DACA, immigrant, or refugee student in need of low-cost health insurance, Immigrant Services may be able to help.
Make sure to also submit proof of immunizations!
You can choose to rent or purchase class books. Some books will be listed as optional and some will be required. Some options to get books are the campus bookstore Tivoli Station, Amazon (students get 6 months of Prime for free), Chegg, or local libraries. You can charge books to your tuition at Tivoli Station if need be.
MSU Denver has partnered with RTD to provide the RTD CollegePass to actively enrolled students. Students must be enrolled in at least one course in the given semester and have a valid Auraria Campus ID. For more information, look here.

If you’re not sure who your advisor is, you can check out this list of advisors by major. You’re Degree Progress Report (DPR) should also have your specific advisor information. If you have not yet been re-admitted to MSU Denver and/or you don’t yet have access to your account, you can ask the Department you are studying under (for example: Department of English) for assistance.

SAP Appeal: For students who have been placed on Financial Aid suspension because they have not met Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). For a full definition of SAP, please visit: SAP for Undergraduate Students or SAP for Graduate Students .
*Please provide a detailed explanation and upload any supporting documentation. If you are a freshman or sophomore (you have 59 earned credits or less), please make an appointment with your academic advisor to complete an Academic Plan that must be submitted with this Appeal. Note: Requests submitted without supporting documentation will not be approved.

- We recommend starting your search by visiting the MSU Denver Scholarship website, where you can complete the General Scholarship Application for over 240 institutional and foundation scholarships. You can also find information and tips for success about external and private scholarships and grants.
- If you are undocumented/DACA/ASSET, you can get additional assistance and support from the Immigrant Services Program and from the Gender Institute for Teaching and Advocacy (GITA) to find and apply to immigrant-friendly scholarships.
- The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) provides support and assistance to low-income and first-generation students to find and apply to scholarships.

Declaring a major/second major/minor: you should meet with an academic advisor in the department of the major or minor you intend to declare in to complete the Declaration Major/Minor form with them.
- Switching a major/minor: you should have a conversation with your current advisor to see what your best options are. If you decide to pursue the major/minor change, you should meet with an academic advisor in the department of the major or minor you intend to switch to complete the Declaration Major/Minor form with them.
- Once you have completed the form, submit it to the Office of the Registrar in the Jordan Student Success Building at Window 3 or to [email protected]. It will take about 2-3 days to process.
